The Park - Help us ensure this unique, beautiful, equestrian and pedestrian resource remains available for everyone to enjoy.

Only park of its kind west of the Mississippi - Bridle Trails Park comprises approximately 500 acres of natural woodlands. The Park is designed specifically to support equestrian use, including show arenas and 28 miles of equestrian trails. Event Calendar >>

Equestrians share the trails with pedestrians. Pedestrians, including runners, have the responsibility to make their presence known to equestrians and to stand by the side of the trail until horses pass. Trail map>>

Bicycles and motorcycles are strictly prohibited. Dogs are allowed only on leash.

Located next to I-405 where Kirkland, Bellevue and Redmond meet, the Park offers a truly natural, woodland environment close to urban development. Directions>>

Because the Park is open and thriving, the surrounding neighborhoods have retained a rural atmosphere with pastures, horses, barns and plenty of open space. This makes Bridle Trails an attractive place to live whether or not you pursue an equestrian lifestyle.

Effects of Closure:
  • The Park and all facilities would be closed.
  • The Ranger would be relocated so there would be no park maintenance or law enforcement.
  • Due to liability, non-Parks personnel would not be allowed to do any maintenance.
  • Without maintenance, trails would be blocked and unusable.
  • The Park would be an open invitation to vagrants, vandals, drug activity, etc.
  • Property values would be hurt.
  • In time, surrounding stables and equestrial communities, which define our open spaces and rural atmosphere, would be forced to move. Open spaces would become urban neighborhoods. Once this happens, reopening the Park will not bring it back, it will be too late...

Help us protect the Park from closure - If you are an equestrian, hiker, nature enthusiast or you appreciate the importance of protecting close-in, rural environments, please donate now. Donation form >>
