Saturday, September 20, 2003 - Self Defense for Trail Riders Clinic by Scot Hansen

This clinic is designed to teach you and your horse how to be safe on the trail, focusing on dealing with potential attackers. You will learn what to say, what maneuvers will keep you safe, and how to position your horse to assist you in defeating an attack. The power of your horse can become your best defense whether you're on the ground or in the saddle.

This course is a combination of lecture and practical application with your horse. All participants will also have the opportunity to become a mock assailant, feeling for themselves how powerful and effective the techniques are.

Scott Hansen is a thinking horseman and retired mounted police officer. He trains horses and teaches riders techniques of natural horsemanship and riding as he learned them from Buck Brannaman, Dennis Reis, Ray Hunt, Greg Eliel, Mike Bridges, Dominique Barbier, Arthur Kottas, John Lyons and others.
