4th Annual "Party in the Park" was a terrific success!

The weather was fine (if a little too warm), the run was exhilarating, and the pancakes were delicious; no wonder the Bridle Trails Park Foundation's 4th Annual Party in the Park was such a smashing success.

It is estimated between 1,400 and 1,500 people attended. The success of this event can be directly attributed to two things: a committee that spent many long hours researching, planning, and executing a very well organized event, and more than 75 wonderful, willing and happy volunteers. Without your help, this event could not be held. Volunteers>>

Net profit was $24,094.93. This is an increase from last year and will help us reach our goal of creating a $1.5 million dollar endowment.

The Foundation would like to thank all those who worked on, or attended, this fun day. We also want to thank our sponsors for their support. Sponsor generousity helped fund the event and keep costs down. Sponsors>>

The kids' activity center was extremely popular this year with pony rides, face painting, cake walks and fishing for prizes.

Also over 30 people enjoyed the guided nature walks and the kids Nature Quest was a hit again this year. The kids race, called the Donkey Dash, was well attended despite the heat, with kids of all ages racing around the arena.

Horse riding demonstrations and entertainment were provided by the Hilltop Hayburners 4-H youth drill team, the Ellensberg Rodeo Royal Court, Cascade Comets Sport Dog Club, Equestrain Vaulting Clubs (Cascade, Sky Mountain & Mount Rainier), the Saddlebreds and pony carts from Les Corbett's stables, Ann Davis and her beautiful Fresians and the ever popular King County Posse drill team.

Our thanks to all those who took the time and effort to entertain us, we appreciate your support.

If you have not attending our "party" yet, be sure to attend next year - it just gets better and better!
